当館では、養蚕の道具や、糸繰りの道具なども収集しています。それらの多くは、主に明治時代から昭和30年頃まで使用されたもので、急速に失われつつある貴重な資料です。
The Silk Museum's collection includes tools and apparatus used in sericulture (silkworm cultivation), silk reeling and other operations. Many of these were tools used by regular citizens, dating back to the Meiji and Taisho Periods and first half of the Showa Period—roughly 1868 to 1955. Today, they are valuable items, as this genre of tools is rapidly being lost to history.
